Today I found out an amazing designer Lulu Li. She designed a series of figures called Lightning baby. She took the 1950’s Chinese female gymnastics figure as an inspiration and combined it with modern motion graphic design. It is such a great twist in terms of the quality of design and the color choice. She said in the 1950’s, when his mom was a very young woman, her dress, hairstyle, green uniform, scarlet cheeks, energetic voice and music, all became vivid memories of his childhood. Lulu is also a muti-talented artist. Now the products designed by her are only exclusively sold in Beijing and Shanghai.
